John McCain says he respects Sarah Palin's decision to endorse Trump

John McCain says he has no hard feelings toward former running mate Sarah Palin for her endorsement of Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential race. "I respect her view," McCain said of Palin, who was McCain's pick for vice president in the 2008 race. "I have great affection and appreciation for her. I respect what she does." McCain's acceptance of Palin's endorsement comes as a surprise to many, considering the ongoing feud between Trump and McCain. Trump made headlines in July when he criticized McCain's military record and his time spent as a prisoner of war. "I like people who weren't captured," Trump said, questioning whether McCain was actually a war hero. McCain has since gotten in jabs about Trump, condemning his anti-Muslim rhetoric and accusing him of pandering to Russian President Vladimir Putin. But while McCain respects what Palin does, that doesn't mean he'll be following in her footsteps and endorsing Trump anytime soon. "I'm not considering anyone," he said.
