The Central Bank released the draft retail payment through mobile

The
Central Bank announced the launch of a retail payment through mobile,
inviting 30 global companies to submit bids for the project.
The
Bank said in a statement, received "alsumaria news" copy that "project
was launched to develop retail payment through the establishment of
national and cross-platform switch to mobile payment, stating that" the
project comes within the framework of the development of the banking
industry in Iraq and adding new and advanced tools in the field of
electronic payments.
The World Bank called for "more than 30
companies specialized in this area to participate in the tender for the
implementation of this national project," he said, adding that "the
World Bank would make use of the best global companies for the
implementation of the project in accordance with international standards
in the areas of retail payment.
And retail payment system
provides mutual Iraqi mobile opportunity for Iraqi banks and mobile
operators to lead the world in access to the most up-to-date and
integrated tools developed for cash payments.
The benefits of the
proposed system would be more visible to ordinary Iraqis by providing
banking services on the global system for mobile communications (GMS),
which is designed to ensure the possibility of using the simplest mobile
phones GSM system to provide banking services to ensure that banking
services are available to anyone, anywhere and at any time.
The
GMS system or mobile telecommunications system is the second generation
of digital mobile communication systems, this generation capacity or
higher system capacity several times from the analogue system and
provides more service features and quality of high quality and low cost.
