    Confirmed the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers that the adoption of smart card system in the distribution of the ration card items will contribute to reducing poverty in the country, saying that it will provide coverage of areas that are exposed to natural disasters while minimizing wastage of public money quotient.

    The secretary general of the Council of Ministers on the Keywords for (IMN) "regardless of the material that will be included in this electronic card, which will aim to reduce the poverty rate in all regions of Iraq."

    He explained that "areas that are exposed to natural disasters can be supplied with a ration card and vocabulary possibility to focus on the poorest areas."

    He said that "the two prepare for the introduction of data a year and a half from the start date of the project."

    Keywords added that "the domestic market will be under control by installing the prices of some materials with the possibility of supporting the Iraqi government for food in the event of high prices globally."

    And, in turn, said the director of the World Food Programme (WFP) Edward Kallon's (IMN) "The poverty rate will fall from 34% to 23% across the country after the application of the electronic food card system."

    He noted that "the project will start opening 800 registration centers electronic food cards distributed in all regions of Iraq and input process will continue 36 months the implementation of MasterCard International."
