Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkmen Eily Party assured that Iraq will move forward economically after being relieved from the 7th Chapter of the UN Charter.”
On last Thursday evening, the UN Security Council endorsed the resolution of relieving Iraq from the limits imposed on it according to the UN 7th Chapter.
A statement by the Party received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Party congratulates Iraqis on this occasion that relieves Iraq from the international custody.
“This is a historical day in the history of Iraq that will participate in upgrading Iraq’s political relations with the international community,” the statement added.
“The Party expresses its gratitude for the Iraqi government and all the Iraqi sides that helped and worked on relieving Iraq from the 7th Chapter during the last years,” the statement concluded.
It is worth mentioning that Iraq will move to Chapter VI of the UN Charter, which emphasizes the resolution of disputes between any two countries through peaceful means and through direct negotiations without the supervision of UN or other international or foreign custody.
Iraq will gain another point, where it will not be obliged to deposit the oil revenues in the Development Fund for Iraq and will be free to import and manufacture weapons allowed according to the international laws.
Baghdad witnessed wide celebrations with huge popular participation on the occasion of relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s 7th Chapter on last Thursday.
