Kuwait's Al-Rai newspaper reported on Thursday that a decision by the Iraqi authorities to lay hands on Kuwaiti fixed and movable property owned by the government or the prime minister, whether a ship anchored in Iraqi territorial waters, or an aircraft landing on the runway of an Iraqi airport.
The newspaper said that the decision was issued in a book on the Directorate of the implementation of Sadr City first to the Iraqi Ministry of Transport.
Al-Rai quoted political sources in Baghdad as saying that the Iraqi decision comes against the backdrop of a financial dispute with one of the Kuwaiti authorities. Instead, the Iraqi authorities have decided to separate between a specific and judicial matter and the continuation of the normal and legal relations for the various fields of cooperation between two neighboring countries , It decided to put its hand on Kuwaiti property and assets.
