July 28, 2006 - The Pentagon announced Friday that North Korea had fired a ballistic missile.
"The ministry has monitored Pyongyang's launch of a ballistic missile and is investigating an assessment of additional information," Pentagon spokesman Jeff Davis was quoted as saying by Reuters news agency.
"The rocket was launched at 10:45 am Eastern time, at 14:45 GMT," Davis said. Finished
