    British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said the threat posed by North Korea's missiles was the biggest since the beginning of the nuclear age.

    "His ability to launch intercontinental nuclear missiles is a threat that the world has not known since the beginning of the nuclear age," Johnson said in an interview with the Guardian .

    "We have a real possibility that the pariah state will resort to nuclear blackmail and will be able to destroy, and I think that can not be ignored," he said.

    Johnson believes that China is a leader in neutralizing the threat posed by North Korea. "In the end, those who can actually solve this dilemma are the Chinese," Johnson said.

    The British Foreign Secretary had earlier called on the international community to "unite" against the DPRK's nuclear program, despite the imposition of the harshest international sanctions in history.

    "North Korea's illegal nuclear weapons program poses a threat to regional and international stability, so the international community must unite in its approach," Johnson was quoted by the Evening Standard as saying.

    He added that the sanctions imposed on Pyongyang "have been eroded, but political pressure must be tightened" also
