    Information / Baghdad ..
Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper quoted US Secretary of Defense James Matisse as saying that Iran's "interference" in the upcoming elections is due to Washington's fear that the Iraqi Sunni parties will open up to Iran after being humiliated by the United States and the West.
"The United States is deeply concerned about Iranian moves to gain Iraqi Sunni parties in western and northern Iraq and the capital, Baghdad," the newspaper said, in a report read by al-Maaloumah.
The newspaper quoted an Iraqi official as saying that "the Iranians and since the visit of the adviser of the Iranian leader, Ali Velayati, to Baghdad last month opened channels of communication with Sunni parties, including Islamic and tribal, but were funded and paid money to them or not this can not be confirmed or say it "He said.
The official said, according to the newspaper, Iran intends to "launch charitable projects and donations within the cities of northern and western Iraq." Ending / 25
