revealed the Lebanese ambassador to Iraq, Ali Adeeb Habhab, on Wednesday, the presence of 11 Lebanese banking institution in Iraq at the behest of the Iraqi citizen in saving the Lebanese banks.
"The Lebanese banking sector is the mainstay of the economy in Lebanon, it has branches and presence in the countries of the world, and wherever the presence of the Lebanese economy is found, the banking sector is linked to it," Al-Habhab said in a statement.
He pointed out that "the Iraqi arena requires the presence of investment and economic companies, so the right of the banking sector," revealing that "the Lebanese banks in Iraq are 11 banking institutions entered the Iraqi market, a desire to keep up with investment companies, and a desire for Iraqi citizens wishing to save or Communication with Lebanese banks ".
He added that "the Lebanese banking sector when entering the Iraqi arena affected by what is happening in Iraq, and the laws of the Central Bank of Iraq, and there are attempts to resolve these problems in cooperation with the Governor of the Bank on the links," stressing that "the continuation of Lebanese banks to work in Iraq is important for the economy of Iraq and Lebanon, And we seek to resolve the crises and overcome them and not escape them.
