{International: The Euphrates News} The US State Department announced that Washington and Pyongyang reached an agreement on the formation of task forces to coordinate and rationalize efforts to achieve denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
"Our Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo's discussions with North Korean officials focused on ways to return the remains of US soldiers who were killed during the Korean War and nuclear disarmament issues," State Department spokeswoman Heather Noiret said.
The press reports that "Pompeo left the venue of talks with the North side to telephone US President Donald Trump and briefed him on the latest discussions."
During his visit to North Korea, Pompio conveyed to Pyongyang President Donald Trump's promise to North Korea for a bright future after its complete disarmament.
"President Trump promises a bright future for North Korea and to do so requires action aimed at the complete denuclearization," Pompeo said.
Pompeo arrived in Pyongyang yesterday for the first time after the historic Singapore summit between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Yuenu last.
