    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany reported an increase in the number of asylum applications submitted to the country in July compared to June.

    The ministry said in a statement that 15 thousand and 199 people applied for asylum to the Federal Department of Immigration and asylum, in July, indicating that this number represents an increase of 14.7 percent compared to last June.

    The number of asylum seekers in June was 13,354, and last May it was 12,494.

    He pointed out that the Syrians make up the majority of applicants for asylum in July, amounting to 3 thousand and 786 people, followed by Iraqis with a thousand and 415 people.
