Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halabousi discussed with Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari the upgrading of the military establishment and the strengthening of the intelligence effort.
A statement issued by the Halbusi office said the two sides discussed ways to develop the Ministry of Defense's plans and upgrade the capabilities of the institutions and the military formations associated with them, stressing the necessity of supporting the military establishment and the armed forces, enhancing the intelligence effort and continuing to pursue and eliminate the remnants of the pockets.
