BAGHDAD: The federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government will sign on Sunday, an agreement on the fiscal budget for 2020.
The source told (Euphrates News) that "it is scheduled to sign Baghdad and the region on Sunday, an agreement on the share of the region in the general budget, but it is not clear whether the agreement will be on 12, 14 or 17% as a share of the region in the budget."
For his part, the rapporteur of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Saffar, said that "the Kurdistan Regional Government will send in next year {250} thousand barrels of oil per day to Baghdad and in return Baghdad will send the share of the Kurdistan region of the budget."
He added, "Next year will be different and the region's share will be sent in full with the sovereign budget and give the region's share of loans received by the federal government."
A delegation from the Kurdistan region, visited Baghdad on Monday and agreed with Baghdad on the issues of the general budget and oil.
According to the agreement between the two parties, in return for sending the budget and salaries of employees of the Kurdistan region, the region will send 250 thousand barrels of oil daily to SOMO.
