On Thursday, President of the Republic Barham Salih called for the completion of the government formation as soon as possible to meet the challenges of health, security and the economy.
"I congratulate the country of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi for the sake of confidence, and by this we have passed a difficult period in the history of our homeland," Saleh said in a statement.
He added that "the government formation must be completed as soon as possible to meet the challenges of health, security and the economy, not to mention the entitlement to reform and fair elections," noting that "it is our duty to join hands to support the government in accomplishing its massive tasks."
