{Political: Al Furat News} The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, said, on Tuesday, during his meeting with the new ambassadors, that combating terrorism, corruption and protecting the environment are common challenges that require regional and international cooperation.
And his media office stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad the credentials of the ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany, Martin Jaeger, and the Czech Republic, Peter Stepanek."
During his meeting with the two ambassadors, President Salih said: "Iraq adopts a balanced policy of openness based on international and regional cooperation and coordination to confront the challenges of terrorism, combat corruption and joint climate action to protect the environment."
He added, "Holding the elections is an important step towards forming an effective parliament and government that responds to the entitlements that await the country, in response to the aspirations of Iraqis for a free and dignified life, strengthening economic and trade relations and supporting investment, as Iraq looks forward to enhancing the requirements of reconstruction and development in the country."
The President expressed his "wish for the two travellers to succeed in performing their new duties, in a way that contributes to consolidating friendship and cooperation relations between Iraq and their two countries."
For their part, the two ambassadors thanked the President of the Republic, stressing their countries' support for Iraq's stability and aspiration to develop bilateral relations in various fields in a way that strengthens joint bonds.
