Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq will hold a session to consider the appeal submitted before it about the recent parliament decision to reopen the door for candidacy for the post of President of the Republic.

Political sources said that the court's decision will determine whether to proceed with what was agreed upon between the tripartite alliance (Al-Sadr, Sovereignty and the Democratic Party) to support the alternative candidate, Reber Ahmed Khaled, or to go to choose another candidate from the list of former candidates, according to what the Kurdistan Democratic Party decides.

The sources indicated that the meeting, which was scheduled to be held in Erbil between the leaders of the Triple Alliance, was postponed until the court ruled on the appeal decision.
