    Today, Sunday, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, directed that the committees’ specialization in correspondence and work within the contexts of the parliament’s internal system be taken into account. The heads of five parliamentary committees were chosen.


    Al-Zamili’s office said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that the latter “presided over the inaugural meetings of the committees (martyrs, victims and political prisoners, security and defense, oil, gas and natural resources, human rights, investment and development), to select the age leaders and their deputies temporarily, and announce the start of their legislative tasks. and oversight, and directing the need for deputies to take into account the specialization of committees in official correspondence and hospitality, and to work according to the contexts of the internal system of the Council.






    During his presidency of the first session of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Al-Zamili stressed that "the security institutions need a system of laws to support their work, in addition to the importance of making the necessary amendments to a number of relevant legislation, such as the drug law, because of its danger and its wide spread in society, and MP Khaled Al-Obeidi was nominated as president. for age".

    At the inaugural meeting of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, the First Deputy indicated that “the oil and gas sector needs a clear, effective and sober strategic vision, starting with the legislation of laws, the most important of which is (oil and gas), the rehabilitation and development of facilities, fields and oil equipment, reviewing licensing rounds, and ending with everything that would Strengthening Iraq's position in the oil market, while MP Yahya Al-Ithawi was chosen as the head of the age.


    Al-Zamili attended the opening session of the Investment and Development Committee, stressing that "the committee has a lot to do during the next stage, as there is a need to reorganize, correct and monitor the investment process in the country, encourage investors and create an environment that attracts them, and MP Vian Abdel Aziz was nominated as head of the age."

    In his first meeting of the Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners, he noted "the privacy enjoyed by this committee and its care for the highest segments of society, calling for the need to resolve the files related to mass graves, and MP Ahmed Al-Jubouri was chosen as head of the age."

    During his inaugural meeting of the Human Rights Committee, Al-Zamili urged "to speed up the nomination of new members to the Commission for Human Rights, and to pay attention to the implementation of laws that sponsor and support the requirements of Iraqis, as they are binding duties to implement, and MP Arshad Al-Salihi has been nominated as head of the age."
