Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee warned of the danger of the continuous delay in approving the federal budget for the current year, due to the current political crisis.
Committee member, Jamal Cougar, confirmed that “the failure to approve the 2022 budget will deprive twenty million Iraqi citizens of financial support.”
Cougar pointed out, "The absence of the budget will lead to the destruction of the mechanisms and military equipment of the Ministry of Defense, as well as electricity and other ministries that need annual funds for the purpose of maintenance."
