The Ministry of Transport revealed a study to reduce airline tickets, while confirming its continued efforts to return the green bird over European airspace.
The Director of the General Company for Iraqi Airways, one of the formations of the Ministry of Transport, Karim Kazem Hussein, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency, "The discussions and efforts are continuing from all aspects of work in Iraqi Airways to overcome obstacles to Iraqi aviation and return again to flying in Europe."
He added, "There is a conference that will be held in mid-March to review the obstacles regarding the European ban on Iraqi aviation, in the presence of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)."
In another context, Hussein indicated that "a new study is being prepared for airline ticket prices, and work is under way to reduce prices, if necessary, on Iraqi Airways."
