Today, Saturday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi affirmed the legislative authority's support for the government's efforts to proceed with strengthening cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said in a statement that “Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi met today in Jeddah, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,” noting that “the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, And prospects for joint cooperation and ways to develop and enhance it in various fields.
He added, "The meeting discussed the Kingdom's efforts to stabilize the region, and Iraq's role in this regard."
The Speaker of Parliament affirmed, "The legislative authority's support for the efforts of the Iraqi government to proceed with strengthening cooperation through the joint coordinating council between the two brotherly countries."
