[rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]Iraq relies on diplomatic dialogue to obtain its water share from Turkey, especially after most of Iraqi lands were exposed to thirst and great drought due to water scarcity, not to mention the drying up of rivers.[/rtl]
[rtl] The Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Diab, said in a press interview, “Attempts are continuing to pressure neighboring Turkey to increase water releases at this stage, which is considered important, in order to secure irrigation for the wheat and barley crops.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "Expectations indicate that large amounts of rain will fall during the next month, which will increase the country's water reserves," stressing that "Iraq has water reserves that exceed its need."[/rtl]
