Today, Tuesday, Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani called on the Ministry of Finance to raise the interest rate on funds deposited in government banks, with the aim of achieving the highest percentage of profits that benefit minors.
The Ministry stated in a statement received by Al-Eqtisad News, “Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani chaired the meeting of the Minors’ Care Council session in the presence of all members,” adding, “During the meeting, a number of points were discussed related to raising the level of services provided to minors and developing their care department.”
The statement added, "The focus was on finding legal formulas that allow the management and investment of minors' funds efficiently and their development in a way that serves their public interest."
Shawani stressed the importance of the issue, noting that “the issue of caring for minors is considered one of the priorities of the government program that aims to achieve maximum financial returns for minors.”
In a related matter, Shwani directed “the necessity of negotiating with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of raising the interest rate on funds deposited with the Minors’ Care Department in government banks, with the aim of achieving the maximum percentage of profits that benefit this important segment of society.”
