    On Tuesday, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, called on Estonian companies to benefit from the fertile Iraqi investment environment and contribute to the reconstruction and development of the private sector.
    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “Al-Mandalawi received this evening, Tuesday, at his residence, the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Kares, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of representatives, to discuss developments in the situation in the region and a number of... Files of common interest.
    Al-Mandalawi stressed - according to the statement - “the importance of strengthening cooperation between Baghdad and Tallinn in various fields, especially at the economic, agricultural, service and cultural levels, and benefiting from Estonia’s expertise in the e-government aspect, to enhance anti-corruption efforts,” calling for “taking advantage of the fertile Iraqi environment and investing in facilities.” Which the government provides to investors to contribute to the reconstruction of the country and the development of the private sector, in a way that achieves the interests of the two friendly peoples.”
    For his part, the Estonian President expressed his country's keenness to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries, stressing that "Iraq has begun to regain its health and status, and that its role is central in reducing tensions and bringing peace."
    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated, “The two sides agreed on the necessity of concerted efforts of the international community in a way that contributes to strengthening the foundations of stability in the region and the world.”
