Today, Thursday, employees of the Central Oil Company renewed their demand to the regulatory authorities to intervene and protect their company from the “corruption system,” as they said.

A number of the company's employees told Al-Sumaria News, "We call on the Prime Minister, the Minister of Oil, the Integrity Committee, and Integrity Judge Haider Hanoun to intervene to protect the company from the corruption system because it has been completed by appointing a person responsible for all tenders for licensing rounds."

They added, "A department director was also assigned responsibility for monitoring licensing contracts. He is being punished for administrative corruption and failure to manage the tasks assigned to him. He does not have any technical or administrative qualifications or experience in licensing rounds, nor does he possess the English language."

They continued, "And most recently, a person was assigned to manage the legal department (the husband of a former general director's daughter). He is a main accused and wants to hide information about corruption estimated at $20 million, and it may affect former and current directors of the agency and departments," adding, "Noting that the file is in the stages of investigation in the Integrity Commission, and pressure is being exerted." "It is a big deal to close this file by the political parties controlling the Central Oil Company."

They pointed out that "the current General Director was previously the Director of the Engineering Examination Department and the Head of the Central Analysis and Referral Committee. He was appointed 3 months ago and is one of the names who were recruited by the Integrity Commission."
