    [size=45]The Ministry of Industry and Minerals revealed two projects to produce sulfur with a capacity exceeding 4 million tons annually.[/size]
    [size=45]The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Industry, Doha Al-Jubouri, said, “The Ministry of Industry and Minerals, within the government program, developed a plan for sulfur production, and since the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm assumed duties in the ministry, it included setting a complete vision for strategic industries, including sulfur production,” noting that “the ministry organized The Mineral, Petrochemical, and Fertilizer Investment Conference was held in May 2023, during which investment opportunities were presented for many important strategic industries, including sulfur. Approval was obtained for the referral of a project to rehabilitate and develop the refined sulfur production line since 2003 in the Mishraq field for the benefit of one of the private sector companies, which will achieve... “The production capacity is estimated at one million five hundred thousand tons annually of refined sulfur.”[/size]
    [size=45]She added, “Sulfur is a basic and important material for many industries, and the project will also contribute to employing labor, providing job opportunities, and achieving significant financial gains,” indicating that “this project is one of the investment opportunities that were proposed and announced during the ministry’s conference.” Another project was referred for the production of refined sulfur in Nineveh, and also this is an integrated project for the production of refined sulfur in (Al-Lazzakah Field) in Nineveh Governorate, which is considered one of the most important investment opportunities and projects that were presented and announced during the conference, and during the conference a number of investment companies were attracted, It is part of the ministry’s plans to revive and establish strategic industries in the country.”[/size]
    [size=45]She stated, “This project will achieve production of more than two million five hundred thousand tons annually of the refined sulfur product, in addition to the profits and job opportunities it will achieve.”[/size]
