Political analyst Saif Al-Saadi confirmed that 140 representatives submitted a parliamentary signature in order to amend the internal regulations law of the Council of Parliament.
Al-Saadi said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “The continuation of the Sunni conflict may affect the selection of a new speaker of parliament, pointing out that it is possible that the issue of choosing a new speaker of parliament will be resolved after the holy month of Ramadan.”
He added, "There is tension among the parties of the Sunni house regarding the selection of a new speaker of Parliament," noting that "Al-Halbousi's departure from the presidency of Parliament increased the Sunni conflict."
