[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Planning confirmed, today, Monday, that the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control operates in accordance with the Iraqi standard for examining and conforming imported cars, denying the existence of any standard belonging to other countries.
The Ministry explained in a statement: “The Iraqi standard was based on the Gulf regional standard (GSO 42:2025) in accordance with international practices adopted in approving and approving national standards. It was officially issued as an Iraqi standard, and became effective in 2019, and entered into application at the beginning of 2021.”
She added: “The past three years, after the start of implementation of the standard, during which no importer or producer submitted a request to amend or develop the standard,” pointing out: “The past year, 2023, witnessed the approval of more than 60,000 vehicles, belonging to 180 companies and individuals.” ".
He stressed: “All international companies committed to the standardization law conduct their business in accordance with the approved Iraqi standard. They are solid companies and of different international nationalities (Japanese, Korean, American, German, French, Chinese), and no problems have been registered with these companies.”
In its statement, the Ministry of Planning called on anyone who has an objection or development proposal to review the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control, to submit an official request about any problems or defects in the Iraqi standard, so that the agency will review these requests and study them from both a scientific and legal perspective./End 9[/rtl]
