BAGHDAD / JD / .. recommended the Federal Government Economic Information Center under the direction and ministries to increase its cooperation with the private sector banks to support them, as called for the central bank to create a twinning between ornament and international banks to develop the performance of the work of local banks.
The central Prime Dergham Mohammed Ali told / BD /: The Iraqi government is able to support and develop the work of private banks by directing ministries and departments to increase its cooperation with the private sector banks across the keeping of financial and deposits, as well as acceptance letters guaranteed and increased remittance through rates.
He stressed the need for greater partnership between government and private banks and the inclusion of private banks developmental processes and involvement in the financing of staff installments activities, calling on the central bank to give space to diversify its banking operations and increase partnerships to create a twinning with international banks to develop the performance of the work of local banks.
He noted that the banking sector needs a new law to guarantee direct investment and financial deposits.
The prime minister Haider al-Abadi, had confirmed earlier that the Iraqi banking sector is witnessing a decline in growth in the face of the support of the private banking sector to promote it. / End / 8 /
