Legal representative: President of the Republic has the power to choose one or more Deputy him

He stressed the parliamentary legal committee member Slim Shawki, on Saturday, that the President of the Republic has the power to choose his deputy or more, while not resolving attributed the reason to the request of the Federal Court appeal submitted on the abolition of the posts of Vice President to public outrage.
Shawki said in a press statement, "The Constitution grants the president the power to one or more Deputy nomination and is regulated by law," adding that "no law regulates only the text and remained the Constitution."
Shawki said, "From a constitutional standpoint, if the Vice-Presidents of the Republic presented an appeal of the Federal Court on the Prime Minister's decision to cancel their office, the court can not control other than the constitutional text, and say the right of the president to choose his deputy or more."
He said Shawki, that "the court does not decide the appeal and request the case remains pending because there is a great public pressure on the Chief Justice Medhat al-Mahmoud, in line with the reforms."
