[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]London - Iraq Press - April 21 / April: The British House of Commons approved a non - binding memorandum calling on the government to recognize the organization of committing "Daash" terrorist "genocide" against ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq and Syria.
The note , which passed unanimously by those present House of Representatives (278 out of 650 deputies constituting the Council) calling on thegovernment to consider what he had done theterrorist organization against Christians, Yazidis and Shabak crime of genocide.
But Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of theMiddle East Tobias Ellwood said that what he has isa characterization of the terrorist organization from the jurisdiction of the judiciary more than it is the prerogative of the government.
"I think the genocide has got, but as the Prime Minister said the issue of genocide judicial rather than political."
He called deputies , who belong to the government of all parties to work in the UN Security Council, where Britain has apermanent seat, in order to be referred to the crimes of the terrorist organization the International Criminal Court.
But Ellwood The minister pointed out that the referral of a case to the International Criminal Court , "can only be carried out under the Council of (international security) uniform, and better cooperation with the countries where the alleged crimes werecommitted , " in reference to Iraq and Syria.
"I would like to draw the attention of the Council ( of Commons) that when there have been efforts to refer the situation in Syria to the International Criminal Court in 2014 Russia and China have used their veto power to prevent it. We expect any resolution in the UN Security Council (...) that stonewalled again. "
The US Secretary of State John Kerry said in March that the killings committed by the organization "Daash" terror against Christians and Yazidis live up to the genocide. Q ended
