Plans to address pollution in the capital

agreed the province of Baghdad with the Ministry of Health and Environment to implement projects and plans to address the environmental pollution in the capital, at a time when the Council disclosed recently held an expanded meeting to discuss pollution in the Tigris River.
Health Minister Dr. Adila Hammoud, said during a joint press conference with Baghdad province held last Tuesday at the headquarters and attended by «morning»: that her ministry is keen to hold an expanded meeting with all the provinces to activate the role of councils protect and improve the environment.
She added, that the environmental situation, is one of the most important topics of interest to the government , especially after the country 's recent accession to the Paris environmental agreement, the government represented by all its institutions to take real measures to called fulfill this international undertaking and the adoption of concrete steps aimed to reduce the environmental impact of pollution , both with regard to air, soil or water.
And alerted Hammoud that the provinces and the current government is assumed a significant role to reduce pollution in all its forms, revealing that her ministry has decided to coordinate with Baghdad province to implement limit environmental pollution and to stop the launch of solid waste and contaminated materials for water projects, as well as gases and other pollutants emissions.
For his part, the governor of Baghdad engineer Atwan Atwani in his speech during the first press conference convened after his accession to office, the local Baghdad government has sought constantly to find environmental problems that the country in general and Baghdad in particular face solutions, noting that the first causes of these environmental effects are war which led the country against gangs «Daesh» terrorist.
And Abizaid that the war against terrorism, have left traces of several, the most important of the pollution , which leaves many health effects on citizens, noting that the meeting aims to discuss and examine ways of addressing the significant abuses which may cause the sometimes - governmental organizations or individuals, which requires a plan for follow - up and reduction.
To that articulated Chairman of the Baghdad Provincial Council , Dr. Riad dentex during the conference, that the Council will hold a meeting soon to discuss the environmental pollution of the Tigris River, by offering medical and industrial pollutants and sewage in the basin.
He explained that the environmental future plans will focus on several issues, most importantly , identifying environmental overtaking and address space, as well as the follow - up needed to fight this legislation , pollution, revealing for the preparation of the local government the necessary studies to contribute to sustainable development programs, as well as the activation of renewable energy to its importance to the reduction of heat emission file Kthirmen causing epidemics.
