Industry and Minerals: dozens of local products are protected from import

The official spokesman said, on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Abdul Wahid al-Shammari, in a special statement for the "Journal News" that "his ministry continuing operations to develop local industries through the development of new production lines in some laboratories and the development of cadres capabilities of working, noting that the companies and labs ministry produces currently more than 270 locally produced from various items bearing brand (made in Iraq).
He added that his ministry had launched earlier in the campaign (made in Iraq), in order to consolidate and support local industries, noting that the campaign has achieved huge success by increasing the national product in the local market, especially food costs less. Shammari said that his ministry had proceeded earlier on many of the reform measures included the integration of similar companies in the jurisdiction, and to reconsider a large number of investment contracts signed in the past years,
He noted that "the ministry factor during a period of record was able to produce goods specifications compete with imported products. He revealed the presence of more than 50 products locally, obtained a protection from imports, "pointing out that" the ministry is keen to protect all its products after achieving self-sufficiency, by bridging the local need of these different commodities. "
