Political Since 2017-05-01 at 17:42 (Baghdad time)

    Baghdad - Mawazine News
The deputy of the Reform Front, high Nassif, on Monday, that the United States and the existence of a strategic cooperation agreement between them and the Iraqi government, must take their role to put an end to Turkey's violations of Iraq.
"The House of Representatives yesterday took a bold decision to prevent any Iraqi figure to participate in any external meetings without official approvals from the Iraqi government," she said, adding that "this decision will limit the tools that deal with foreign countries, especially Turkey At the expense of the homeland. "
She added that "foreign interference in Iraqi affairs is a departure from international norms and the principle of good neighborliness and reciprocity, and there are several decisions taken against Turkey in the House of Representatives, some of them to the extent of economic boycott."
"We hope that the Turkish government will have a balanced relationship with the Iraqi government," Nassif said. "We hope that the United States of America, by virtue of a strategic agreement between it and Iraq, will have a role in rejecting Ankara's aggression against Baghdad."
It is noteworthy that Iraq presented on December 12, 2015, an official protest of the Security Council on the presence of Turkish armed forces near the city of Mosul.
The Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi said that the presence of these forces represents a violation of the sovereignty of Iraq on its territory by Turkey, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that these forces have existed for a long time and a prior agreement. "
