Vice: influential behind the obstruction of the VAT project in Iraq
Assured the Committee of Economy and Investment parliamentary member Harith al-Harthy, said Friday that the value-added tax in the Iraq project faces obstacles stand in the way of the country without the benefit of this project.
Harthi said in an interview seen by the "Economy News", "traders are influential partners, some officials and they're blocking laws and manipulating imports and exports entering the country."
He added that "the state treasury need many resources, this began by adding added taxes to restore the shortfall in the budget of the Treasury."
And Aosah Harthy, from "the state is supposed to add increased taxes on luxury materials entering the country, to give the field either to the industrial and agricultural sector to support the Iraqi economy."
He stressed that "the obstruction of laws and proceed with its own law-added tax is a type of corruption particular whether by the executive or legislative bodies or observers must fight united and stand in order to eliminate it."
