Latakia (Syria News) Turkish army troops, on Monday, shelled the locations of the Syrian army in Turkman Mountain, in the countryside of Latakia.

Qasioun News reported that the Turkish army shelled, using heavy artillery, the locations of the Syrian army in Turkman Mountain, in the countryside of Latakia, leaving several casualties.

On a related news, a number of the Syrian regime forces were either killed or wounded in a shelling conducted by the rebels on the areas of Burj Zaheya and Atbara, in Turkman Mountain in Latakia.

Meanwhile, ongoing clashes continue between the rebels and syrian regime forces in several areas, north of Latakia.

It is noteworthy that the rebels-held areas in Turkman Mountain, north of Latakia, are a part of the de-escalation zones agreement made in Astana, where zones aimed at reducing tensions were set up in four areas, mainly in Idlib Province and some neighboring territories (Latakia, Hama and Aleppo) to the north of Homs, East Ghouta and some provinces in southern Syria (Daraa and Quneitra).
