Tillerson acknowledges his differences with Trump over the nuclear deal with Iran

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson admitted on Tuesday that he and President Donald Trump were different on the nuclear deal with Iran and said they were discussing how to use the agreement to advance administration policies .
"He and I have differences in views on things like the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (the Comprehensive Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) and how we should use it," Tillerson said in a statement at the State Department .
Tillerson claimed that Washington could "tear up" the agreement and withdraw from it or continue to abide by it and hold Iran responsible for complying with its terms, which he said required Tehran "to be good neighbors ."
The White House did not respond to a request to comment on Tilerson's comments .
Trump pledged during the US presidential election campaign last year to withdraw from the nuclear deal reached by the Group of 5 + 1 with Iran in 2015 .
