    Kuwait's compensation to Kuwait will not be paid in cash, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida reported Saturday. (Chapter VII)

    "The joint committees between the two countries are moving to finalize the compensation file by agreeing to invest in vital projects in Iraq, with the importation of petroleum and gas materials by Kuwait, which will contribute to enhancing the relations between the two neighbors," the newspaper said in a report issued today.

    The paper added that "there is no Kuwaiti intention to waive part of those receivables of 4.6 billion dollars."

    The newspaper pointed out that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi had said last week that Iraq has resolved with the United Nations oil-for-food and left nothing to hinder the release of under Chapter VII of the Kuwaiti compensation. Ending / 25

    Kuwaiti war compensation to be investments and oil supply in Iraq, sources

    Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi sources reported that the joint committees with Kuwait are planning to close the compensations dossiers by investing the funds in vital projects in Iraq.

    The sources added that Kuwait will import oil products and gas, but it will not cancel the compensations that remained .

    By paying the 4.6 billion dollars for the war compensations, Iraq will be able to be exempted from Chapter VII of the UN Security Council.


    On the other hand , Kuwaiti Al-Jareeda daily pointed that Kuwait is studying future alternatives for payments.

    Look there is clearly some stuff we don't know about 7, I believe duck had said the money item would not prevent Iraq from rv.  Who knows
