New York Times: Saudi Arabia commits war crimes in Yemen with US-British complicity

    03/09/2017

The New York Times has accused the United States and Britain of war crimes committed by the Saudi entity in Yemen, especially since the attacks of the Saudi alliance are supported directly by them.
The journalist Nicolas Christophe highlighted in a report the tragedies and suffering suffered by the Yemenis following the Saudi aggression and the raids of the Saudi coalition fighters over the past three years.
Christoph pointed out that "the Saudi attacks on Yemen are carried out with the complicity of the United States and Britain, which allow the Kingdom to commit more war crimes, adding that the situation in Yemen has worsened during the last two years because of the alliance of aggression led by Saudi Arabia."

"The Saudis regularly bomb civilians and, worst of all, they have closed the air space and imposed a siege to starve areas controlled by Ansar Allah and their allies, which means ordinary Yemenis, including children, are dying of bombing or hunger," he said.

Christophe cited a Human Rights Watch report that concluded that many Saudi air strikes were possible war crimes, and that the United States shared responsibility because it provided the Saudis with aerial refueling, airborne intelligence and many weapons.

The New York Times reported that the Yemeni girl, Buthaina al-Rimi, was the only survivor of Saudi air strikes that killed all members of her family, pointing out that the Western media did not display pictures of the victims, in part to prevent Saudi Arabia from visiting foreign journalists "

The newspaper said the head of CARE America, Michel Nan, said that the situation in Yemen is a disgrace to the international community, noting that there are more than 20 million Yemenis in need of immediate emergency assistance, where the death of a child every five minutes.

The Saudi-led alliance is responsible for 65 percent of Yemeni child deaths.

She added that the epidemic of cholera rampant in Yemen causes the injury of five thousand Yemenis every day.

She noted that few Americans are aware of the daily bloodshed in Yemen and the famine and cholera epidemic among Yemenis. And demanded that America stop all military aid to Saudi Arabia until it stopped strangling Yemen. sf
