    "There will be no negotiations with the leaders of the Kurdistan region on the referendum on separation from Iraq and its consequences," the spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office of Information, Saad al-Hadithi, said on Monday that the dialogue with Erbil should be based on the constitution. 
    Al-Hadithi said in a televised statement that "the government has embarked on the sovereign measures towards the Kurdistan region, where foreign aviation has been stopped and preparations are being made to receive border crossings from it to the federal authority to prevent corruption and waste public money." 
    Al-Hadithi pointed out that "the international position towards Iraq was unprecedented in terms of support of the central government, for its keenness on the unity of Iraq, and its wisdom in managing the file of the problem of the referendum of the Kurdistan region," asserting that "
    It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister "Haider Abadi," he said earlier, that what the federal government against the Kurdistan region is constitutional and legal procedures to maintain the unity of Iraq, indicating that it does not aim to punish the citizens of the region. 
    The official spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office issued a statement yesterday, calling on the regional authorities to stop the escalation in the disputed areas.
