[ltr]The death toll from California's massive fires in the western United States, particularly in the wine-producing region of Napa, has risen.[/ltr]
[ltr]At least 23 people were killed in the fires, while forestry and protection official Ken Bimlott warned that the situation "will continue to worsen before it begins to improve."[/ltr]
