    The government's step to develop and increase the export of Kirkuk oil has been welcomed by experts and stakeholders in the sector. This step is important in supporting the state treasury and strengthening the economy, as well as ensuring the distribution of salaries to the governorate employees and meeting other needs. 
    This comes at a time when the government announced plans to set up oil projects with five Arab countries. 
    "The government's intention to start exporting Kirkuk oil through Iran and to study the construction of new export pipelines is an important step and it is in the direction of opening new outlets to deliver Iraqi oil to world markets," said oil expert Hussein Marzouk. Support the economy  added that "this process halted oil smuggling , which was practiced by some parties in the Kurdistan region, under the pretext of non - payment of dues process, a step that will support the Iraqi economy by introducing billions of dollars to the state treasury."




    Marzouk praised "the wisdom of the government in dealing with the file of Kirkuk, which represents this province of economic weight and importance," and commended the plans (the government) to establish oil projects with neighboring countries and friendly. 
    The oil minister has announced the signing of a preliminary agreement between Iraq and Iran provides for Iraq to export oil from the fields of Kirkuk to Iran at the rate of 30-60 thousand barrels per day can be increased through the basin until the completion of the extension of an oil pipeline for this purpose. Minutes of the meeting Jabbar Luaibi said in a statement the "morning" received a copy of it: " The minutes of the meeting signed by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company" SOMO "with the Iranian side in Baghdad, provides for the establishment of the Iraqi side to transfer the quantities mentioned by trucks to the common border between the two countries , a point near Kermanshah province, while the Iranian side to deliver the same quantities and specifications across the common border in southern  Iraq. "





    Al-Allaibi said that "this agreement contributes to the addition of a new export port of Iraq to contribute to the discharge of Kirkuk oil, and achieve economic feasibility of Iraq, as well as strengthening economic relations with neighboring countries," pointing out that "the first agreement will be followed by signing during the next near the final contract with The Iranian side after agreeing on some technical 
    and operational issues  . " 
    Al-Allaibi explained "Iraq's keenness to strengthen relations with neighboring countries," revealing "the government plans to establish oil projects strategy that enhance the prospects of bilateral cooperation with Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Syria, as well as Arab  
    and friendly countries." 
    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for extraction Karim Hattab had confirmed last week, the ministry's intention to develop oil fields and facilities in the province of Kirkuk and to increase production and accelerate the process of rehabilitation pipeline oil exports Kirkuk - Ceyhan. 
    Hattab said in a statement: "The ministry mobilized its efforts and technical and engineering capabilities based on the directives of the Minister of Oil, and formed for this purpose task forces to follow up the implementation of the Ministry's plans to rehabilitate pumping stations and pipelines under the direct supervision of the agents and directors of oil formations in cooperation with the Department of the province."
