    Shafaq News / The Russian newspaper Izvestia reported on Friday that Moscow began to hand over the arms deal for Iraq, according to a contract signed between the two countries in 2012, in which Baghdad gets 40 fighter helicopter models " Mei -35 " and " May 28 " .

    “A battalion of Iraqi experts finished its training on how to use helicopters "Mi -35" at the training center of the Russian Air Force in Torzhok , pointing out that the arms deal between Russia and Iraq includes also , special weapons to combat terrorism ,” The newspaper , said in news briefed by “ Shafaq News”.

    Moscow had exempted Baghdad from debts owed to the former Soviet Union for the purchase of large quantities of Russian weapons.

    The estimated value of the arms deal signed by Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki in Moscow last year was more than $ 4 billion.
