    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq is a Russian ally, Russian Foreign Minister Vladimir Putin said Wednesday, quoting talks between the latter and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Iraq's acquisition of Russian weapons.
    "The Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi talked with Russian President Putin on the arming of Iraq weapons from Russia, which may get in 2019 according to the results of the Iraqi elections."
