The Department of Planning and Follow-up in the Ministry of Commerce committed on Friday to equip all citizens with ration cards without exception.
Abtahal Hashim, the director of the department, said in a statement that "what was raised by the press about updating citizens' data in order to receive their ration cards is a routine procedure not aimed at depriving the citizen of its vocabulary but rather the purpose of updating the ration card data."
She explained that "the update of the data comes to the presence of large numbers of citizens have not updated their data since the elections in 2014 and to ensure that they are inside the homeland for the purpose of processing the vocabulary that is a right of their rights."
She added that "the instructions are to withhold the passengers and the deceased as the lifting of the ban on the traveler after proving his presence in front of the branch of supply in order to check the real numbers covered by the ration card, according to studies to alleviate poverty and also to reduce the cases of manipulation that may be obtained in this regard.
