Deputy: Failure to agree Maliki and Abadi may lead to postponement of the elections
A member of the House of Representatives for the National Alliance Ali al-Badiri, on Saturday, that the alliances revealed clearly the extent of differences between the political blocs, noting that "the failure of the agreement between al-Maliki and Abadi on their list and may have repercussions on the holding or postponement of the elections."
Al-Badairi said in a press statement that "the political blocs are convinced of these alliances and the street is divided between them and therefore they are trying to come out of the formula and cloak different from the former."
"These alliances are attempts to win the votes of the people, knowing that without exception they felt that they had differences within them and thus fragmented to win the votes of Iraqis."
On the National Alliance and in particular the Dawa Party, Badri said "so far there is no agreement between Maliki and Abadi on their list and may have implications for the holding or postponement of the elections."
