    Turn attention to the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Washington, they come in a period of regional unrest region, as well as the arrival of uncertainty in Syria an advanced stage greatly affected in Iraq and caused the escalation of violence in it.

    Will discuss Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, during a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama next Friday, according to the White House announced, expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries in accordance with the strategic framework agreement, in addition to the discussion of the risks facing Iraq and coming from Syria.

    Statement of the Prime Minister's Office said that "al-Maliki and his accompanying delegation left Baghdad yesterday afternoon, heading to the United States on an official visit lasts five days." The statement noted that al-Maliki will take place during the visit, talks with Vice President Joe Biden and senior officials in the American administration, related to the development of bilateral relations and expand the horizons of cooperation and in accordance with the strategic framework agreement signed between the two countries and ways to strengthen security and stability and the fight against terrorism, as well as discuss the latest developments in the region. Prime Minister is visiting the United States after last visited it in December 2011, in response to an official invitation from U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, accompanied by a delegation including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Hoshyar Zebari and Defense Agency Saadoun al-Dulaimi, in addition to a number of members of the House of Representatives and advisers.

    The prime minister has said in a press conference held at Baghdad International Airport before leaving the land of the country, that will be discussed during the visit activating the agreements signed with Washington for arming the army and security forces and the risks coming from Syria, which is facing Iraq.
