[ltr]The Lebanese president, Michel Aoun, said Beirut was following up contacts to counter Israeli ambitions on Lebanese land and water.[/ltr]
[ltr]For his part, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, while speaking of the conflict, accused the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group of provocation. He said Israel had withdrawn to the internationally recognized international border with Lebanon and was facing an objection to a wall "on Israeli soil." According to him.[/ltr]
[ltr]In the past, the Israeli army said the construction was taking place on land "subject to Israeli sovereignty."[/ltr]
