The Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz al-Shammari, announced Monday that he is in the process of appointing a commercial attaché in the embassy in order to facilitate trade between the two countries.
"He is in the process of appointing a commercial attaché in the Saudi embassy in Iraq to facilitate trade exchange between the two countries," Al-Shammari was quoted as saying during a meeting with Industry Minister Mohammad Shiaa al-Sudani.
The newspaper added that "the president and members of the Saudi delegation expressed their concern and willingness to exert efforts and possible endeavors to push forward relations between the Kingdom and Iraq to Imam and strengthen ties of cooperation and to address all attempts to tend to undermine these relations, stressing the continuation of work and serious coordination during the next phase to reach Best results in strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
