    Announcement of an Iraqi-Turkish understanding of a military operation against the "PKK"
    Turkish government spokesman Bakr Bouzdag announced an understanding with Iraq on a military operation against the PKK.
    "The talks with the Iraqi government have been positive, and the Iraqi government has reached a common understanding with Turkey against the terrorist organization. Under this understanding, the Iraqi side will continue to fight terrorism firmly," Bozdag told a news conference after a cabinet meeting in Ankara.
    "When the process begins, everyone will hear about it, and no one should expect me to give a timetable for it. Everyone will know that it started when they see our warplanes and our fighters," Bouzdag said.
    Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Gawishoglu revealed last week that Turkey and Iraq would take joint steps against Kurdish militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) deployed in Iraqi territory.
    "Turkey and Iraq intend to carry out a cross-border military operation against the PKK," Gawishoglu said.

    Turkish government spokesman Bakr Bouzdag said talks with the Iraqi government on a possible military operation against the PKK organization in northern Iraq were positive and reached a common understanding on fighting the organization.
    "The talks with the Iraqi government were positive and the Iraqi government reached a common understanding with Turkey against the terrorist organization. In the framework of this understanding, the Iraqi side will continue to fight terrorism firmly," Bouzdag said in remarks carried by Al-Maaloumah.
    "When the process begins, everyone will be heard and no one should expect me to give a timetable," he said. "Everyone will know that it started when they see our warplanes and our fighters."
    He criticized some countries, which claim that Turkey is not interested in the issue of harm to civilians, adding that "the most important issue in which Turkey shows the first degree of interest are civilians." Ending / 25 d
