Iran: Iraq raises taxes on our goods

The head of Iran's Trade Development Organization, Khosro Taj, said on Thursday that Iraq has raised the proportion of trade taxes on Iranian imported goods in order to protect the local product.
"Iraqi government officials told us that the increase in the tax on imported goods included all the countries exporting to Iraq and there is no discrimination between countries," Khusraw said. According to the official IRNA news agency IRNA.
"Iraqi officials announced statistics on the growth of some of their country's agricultural products, which made them make special decisions to protect local production by increasing tariffs and trade taxes," said the export assistant to Iran's Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade.
Iraq is the third market for exported Iranian goods and services, with Iranian export revenues reaching $ 5.6 billion from April to November last year, as well as a declaration by Kao Zirkhan, head of the Agriculture Committee of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, that Iran exported agricultural products to Iraq With a volume of 3.7 million tons and worth $ 3.5 billion from April to November 2017.
